Coachella Weekend One Opens Tonight in Indio
Tonight the polo grounds go loud. Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival — Weekend One opens tonight at Empire Polo Club in Indio, a 30-minute drive from downtown Palm Springs, and the 2026 edition has already sold out both weekends. Headliners across the three nights are Sabrina Carpenter on Friday, Justin Bieber on Saturday, and Karol G on Sunday — the first Latina artist ever to headline the festival.
Palm Springs has turned into Coachella's living room. Brand activations, Airbnb pop-ups, pool parties, and mini-festivals have taken over downtown and the mid-century hotel corridor. This year adds a 4K livestream of the Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre, and Sahara tent for the first time, meaning visitors who want to skip the polo-field dust can catch the sets poolside at most downtown hotels.
